Le dentiste a la possibilité de pratiquer sa chirurgie sur son propre patient sous la supervision de la Dre Marie-Josée Yergeau.

Pour fin de formation, seuls les cas de 15 à 25 seront acceptés.

Pour effectuer votre chirurgie, l’Académie fournira pour la somme additionnelle de 400 $ plus taxes : la salle de chirurgie, le matériel stérile, la membrane, les sutures, ainsi que les instruments pour cette dernière.

Nous vous conseillons fortement d’être accompagné de votre auxiliaire puisqu’elle recevra une formation personnalisée exclusive.

HEURES DE FORMATION (1 heure de pratique égale à 2 UFC pour dentiste)

20 heures de formation continue incluant de la pratique (variable selon les chirurgies pratiquées):

DMD = 24 à 26 unités de formation continue

HD = 20 heures de formation continue

Thompson Okanagan Dental Society Meeting

About T.O.D.S.

The purpose of the Society is to promote a high standard in the practice of dentistry, encourage the improvement of the health of the public, promote the art and science of dentistry and to hold educational meetings.

The Society is presided over by 5 Directors who are elected during the Annual General Meeting held during the Thompson Okanagan Dental Meeting in October of each year. TODS represents the geographical region east to Revelstoke, west to Ashcroft, south to Osoyoos and north to Sicamous, in the southern interior of British Columbia, Canada.

Any dentist, who holds a current license, is in good standing with the College of Dental Surgeons of British Columbia, and practices dentistry within the regions encompassed by the Society, is an active member of the Thompson Okanagan Dental Society. There are no annual membership dues. The Society is solely funded by the proceeds of the Thompson Okanagan Dental meeting. Since 1978, the non-profit Thompson Okanagan Dental Society (TODS), has provided dental professionals with quality dental continuing education and supported the future of the profession with bursarys and scholarships.

Since 2005, the society has hosted an annual silent auction raising over $145,400 to support important charities such as the BC Dental Association’s Save a Smile Foundation, Okanagan College Certified Dental Assisting Program, Southern Interior Cancer Centre Dental Comfort Fund, Rotaplast Canada and the five Community Dental Clinics in Kelowna, Kamloops, Penticton, Vernon and Salmon Arm.

The Canadian Academy of Restorative Dentistry and Prosthodontics (CARDP) has a legacy going back to 1962 of conducting an Annual Scientific Meeting. In fact the holding of the Annual Scientific Meeting is the entrusted “raison d’etre” of the Academy, whose primary purpose is to disseminate important clinical and research based dental knowledge to its members. The members of the Academy benefit greatly from this exercise, as does the public that they serve.
