Dr. Trent Bevans and his family (wife Cathy, son Maverick, daughter Hadley) are very happy to be able to call the beautiful Okanagan home. He grew up on the windy plains of southern Alberta in the small town of Raymond. After graduating high school he spent two years in the heat of Arizona where he was a missionary for his church. From 2006 – 2012 Dr. Bevans attended the University of Saskatchewan in Saskatoon Sk where he graduated with his degree as a Doctor of Dental Medicine DMD.
In 2010 Dr. Bevans joined the Canadian Armed Forces this required him to spend the next two summers in St. Jean Quebec completing basic training (boot camp). After graduation Dr. Bevans was promoted to the rank of Captain in the army and was subsequently posted to CFB Cold Lake where he provided comprehensive dental treatment to the military members stationed there. While in the military Dr. Bevans received excellent additional training in Endodontics (root canal treatment), Periodontics (surgeries and treatment of the gums) and Oral Surgery (complicated surgical extractions of wisdom teeth). During this time Dr. Bevans was also able to further his training and experience in Orthodontics and looks forward to continuing to provide Orthodontic treatment here at Abby Dental. Dr. Bevans will be introducing implant placement and restoration for his patients as well.
Outside of dentistry Dr. Bevans is an avid outdoors man who enjoys hiking, hunting and fishing. He is hoping that now that he is somewhere with warmer water that he will be able to improve his skills of wakeboarding and wakesurfing behind a boat.
