Dr. Angelyn Salaberry

My birthplace is New Orleans, Louisiana and I spent my childhood years on Vancouver Island before my family settled in the Okanagan in 1986.

I went to high school in Kelowna and then attended Okanagan University College.  My interest in dentistry was cultivated in part by my family dentist and orthodontist, both of whom introduced me to the unexpectedly creative and stimulating nature of the work.  I went on to obtain my doctorate in Dentistry at the University of British Columbia and graduated in the year 2000.

During my time at UBC, I was a classmate of Dr. Hilary Pada’s at the University of British Columbia.  We noticed that we shared a devotion to the practice of dentistry and a desire to develop our skills so that we could offer the highest quality dentistry possible.  A bond was formed through hard work, study, and a passion for adventure.  Initially, I practiced in Vernon and Grand Forks, but I returned to Kelowna in 2004 so I could pursue my career goals with Dr. Pada and take part in an active lifestyle at the same time.  In 2015 we joined the incredibly likeable Dr. Brent Corlazzoli (also a UBC graduate), to offer a broader scope of services and bring better balance to our lives.

Outside of my work life, I cherish time spent with my family. My husband and I are avid mountain bikers, road cyclists, and skiers and we also enjoy horseback riding and hiking.  As our two young children grow older, we are introducing them to these various activities and also to the joys of travel, adventure and serving others.

I am devoted to all areas of family dentistry and I believe in the critical importance of seeking and maintaining current knowledge and experience.  To that end, I have taken many continuing education courses in the fields of endodontics, prosthodontics, pedodontics, oral surgery and aesthetics. As of February 2012,  I graduated from the highly acclaimed Kois Center Post Graduate Program advancing my training in occlusion, grafting, aesthetics, implant and restorative dentistry.  I have also taken part in two, nine month long, mini-residencies at the Ickert Teaching Centre in 2006 and 2007. In 2015, I joined the BC Cancer Agency at Kelowna General Hospital and began work in oral oncology part time.

My focus will always be listening to patients and colleagues and trying to gain an understanding of how best to help.
